Panels are short presentations, performances, or activities led by speakers. We try to include a variety of panelists at uchi-con, especially teachers who are familiar with Japanese and animation cultures. Panels generally tend to take around an hour each, during which audience members are free to come and go. They run from 11AM to 5PM. uchi-con participants are welcome to come to as many or as few panels as desired. The usual tactic is to check at the beginning of the day which panels are happening when and to plan other events (gaming, karaoke, browsing the artists alley, etc) around when you will not be attending a panel.
For those interested in running a panel at uchi-con: the button below will become active once preregistration opens for uchi-con. Keep in mind that we have limited panel space, however, and therefore take into consideration only panels with significant forethought and preparation.
If you are a student/faculty member/RSO group at the University of Chicago interested in having a panel, or if you have presented before at a previous uchi-con, please feel free to get in contact with us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) ahead of time.
